PERSONNEL POLICY/ WORKER – MANAGEMENT RELATIONS
The policy of this company is to maintain excellent worker –management relations so that job
satisfaction at the work place is retained & labour productivity is boosted
- Motivation/Worker Re-orientation:
Workers are re-oriented/motivated/informed on labor
laws, code of conduct and other workplace rules.
- Training:
Supervisor and personnel staff are trained on labor
laws. Personnel policies, welfare matters and
workplace rules, etc.
- Worker-management relations:
Workers are allowed to put forward their
ideas/suggestions/proposals/complaints on any issue of
on any improvement.
- Workers Welfare Committee:
There is a workers welfare committee to look after the
interests of the employees. They put forward
proposals, suggestions; ventilate grievances &
complaints (if any).
- Quality Circle:
The factory has Quality Circles which in addition to
improvement of their work allows them to involve in
Factory development programs.
- Suggestion & complain Box:
The Factory has suggestion & complain box. So, that
worker's can put forward any suggestion & complain
that flash into their mind.
WORKING HOURS, WAGES & BENEFITS
The policy of this company is to strictly abide by national laws on Working Hours, Wages &
benefits entitled by law.
- Daily Working Hours:
Daily work-hours are 8 as established by laws of the
country Standard work-week comprises 48 hours as
established by law.
- Permissible Daily OT:
4 hours maximum. Payment system-
(Basic salary X OT hrs)/208 hrs.
- Permissible Maximum Work Week:
Maximum 72 hours including OT hours as per
Bangladesh gazette on - Sept' 19, 2004 Vide SRO- 273.
- Weekly Holiday/ Rest day:
Friday
- Minimum wage for a worker:Tk. 1200/-
- Frequency of payment of salary:
Salary is paid once in a month. Payment is generally
made within the 7th of the next month.
- Available Leave facilities:
- Maternity Leave- 84 day
- Sick Leave –14 days
- Earned Leave –01 day for every 22 Working days
- Festival Holiday –10 days
v. Casual Leave – 10 days
- Other facilities Available: Childcare Centre
- On-site doctor & Medicine: Available

SAFETY & SECURITY
The policy of this company is to put utmost security to the assets & manpower of the
company & to keep vigilance so that no untoward situation can occur.
- Person responsible for safety & security: DGM/ Security Officer/Manager
- Existence of Security Depertment:
A team of security guards works & works after
incoming & outgoing goods each Cargo is
verified against Delivery Challan & Gate pass
Driver’s Name & Truck Nos. Driver’s License no.
is entered into Register.
- Fencing of the Factory: The Factory is fenced by Brick wall all around.
- Monitoring of Entrance & exits: Monitored with Register & Security system.
- Lighting of inside & outside of Factory:
BUS BAR TRUNCKING IS APPLIED TO AVOID
ANY ELECTRICAL DISASTER. There is adequate
Lighting inside & outside of the Factory;
Security Light works on off days as well.
- Registration Process to Document Visitors:Visitor names are entered in security Registers.
- Registration Process of Vehicles: All incoming Vehicles are entered in the
Register including Vehicle Number, Driver’s
Name & his License No.
- Security Mark of Employees: All Employees have ID card with Photo, Name
Designation, and Dept. etc. They display ID
card on Entrance to the Factory.
- Access Right of Separated Employees: Separated Employee has no Access right.
- Place of loading & unloading:
Personal from Security, Store & Administration
shall be present at the time of loading of
finished goods or any other goods despicable
from this factory.
- Random checking: Security personal shall check bags on random
basis.
- Visitor with Security Company:
Visitor allowed inside the factory shall be
accompanied with security personnel.
- Key control:
Keys of the factory shall be kept in the house
of the Director / Managing Director.
- Record of opening the facility on holidays:
If necessity arises to open the facility on any
holiday shall be properly recorded.
- Using Unique Tape to close cartons:
Cartons shall be closed with Unique Tapes so
that any tempering can be detected
immediately & corrective action may be taken
urgently.
- Restricted access to Finishing Section
& Finished Goods Gordon:
Finishing Section & Finished Goods warehouse
has restricted access persons who are
permitted can enter these areas.
HEALTH and INDUSTRIAL SAFETY
The policy of the company is to ensure the best possible industrial safety & to provide
sanitation hygiene facilities to the employees.
- Person responsible for Health & Hygiene:
Medical Doctor / Welfare Officers.
The organization ensures safety of workers in the following way:
- First Aid Kids:
There are Sufficient First Aid boxes with necessary
medicaments that may come in aid of employees at
the time of need.
- Fire Extinguishers:
Sufficient number of Fire Extinguishers (around 72)
is available on the floor to fire fight if fire breaks
out in the floor. They are properly taken care of &
serviced government lay stipulates that every 1000
sft. Must be provided with one extinguisher. Our
factory has 1.5 fire extinguishers for every 1000 sft.

- Fire Hose:
Fire Hose system is installed to fight in case of fire
hazard.
- Marked Exits:
All exits are marked with appropriate color & signs
to help quick exit of employees working in the
floor.
- Fire Alarm/Public Address System:
There are both of the systems to announce
messages to all employees in time of any Hazard.
The systems are interconnected so that messages
may be transmitted everywhere at a time.
- Emergency Lights:
Emergency lights have been installed in the floor &
stairways to help illuminate if power failure occurs
or the time of emergency. There are 30 Emergency
Lights in the floor.
- Ambulance Room:
There is a well equipped Ambulance/ Doctor’s
Room to look after the sick workers & to educate &
motivate them on health & hygiene matters.
- Occupational Safety:
All machines are equipped with safety Guard, Eye
Guard, Needle Guard, Pulley Cover etc.
- Mask & Gas Mask:
All workers are provided with mask against micro –
dust & gas masks where Carbon Steel Gloves for
cutters Steel Mesh Gloves are provided to the
cutting operators.
- Fire Drill: Fire Drill is conducted once every month and is
properly documented.
- Fire Fighting Equipments Maintenance:
There is a system in place for maintenance &
upkeep of the fire fighting Equipments.
Maintenance In-charge is responsible for this.
- Evacuation/Fire Safety Plan:
An elaborate Evacuation Plan is displayed in each
floor of the factory.
- Emergency Exits:
Emergency Exits are distinctively displayed.
Adequate lighting is provided to illuminate working
area and workstations.
- Contingency Plan for dealing with serious injuries:
In case serious injury occurs to a worker at workplace, the patient is given First Aid if possible. If the injury is grave, the injured patient is taken to the Emergency Department of Chittagong Medical College & Hospital (CMCH). CMCH is the foremost government medical Hospital in this part of the world. So this is the right place for dealing with serious injuries. Welfare Officer, Trainee Welfare Officer, Welfare Officer, Personnel officer or any other person of the personnel department shall be responsible for carrying the injured to the hospital. Cost of treatment for injuries caused at work place shall be borne by the company.
